Habitat: In seepage wetland dominated by Betula pumila, Salix discolor Cornus sericea, Carex prairea and Carex stricta.
Substrate: On coarse peat with marl in a seepage zone at the foot of a gravelly hill.
Associated Species: With Campanula aparinoides, Symphyotrichum boreale, Doellingeria umbellata and Rubus pubescens.
