Habitat: In tamarack swamp dominated by mid-sized Larix laricina, Alnus incana, Betula pumila and Cornus sericea. Most plants rooted in moss on tops of tree roots.
Associated Species: With Carex leptalea, Carex disperma, Thelypteris palustris, Caltha palustris, Campanula aparinoides and Aralia nudicaulis.
