Habitat: In open, calcareous fen-like wetland on floating sedge mat. Dominated by Carex lasiocarpa, Carex interior, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Phragmites australis ssp. americana and Parnassia glauca.
Substrate: On deep, fibric peat.
Associated Species: With Carex chordorrhiza, Carex limosa, Carex livida, Galium labradoricum and Eriophorum gracile.
