Habitat: In black spruce swamp on shallow slope on side of small creek valley. In community dominated by Picea mariana, Abies balsamea, Cornus sericea and Alnus incana.
Substrate: On fibric peat.
Associated Species: With Carex leptalea, Glyceria striata, Mitella nuda, Rubus pubescens, Pilea pumila, Maianthemum trifolium and Linnea borealis.
