In undisturbed tamarack swamp dominated by Larix laricina in small wetland basin surrounded by forest. On thick, pillowy cover of Sphagnum spp.

With Andromeda polifolia, Sarracenia purpurea, Carex chordorrhiza, Carex limosa, Menyanthes trifolia, Scheuzeria palustris and Lysimachia thyrsiflora.
