Habitat: Abundant in a small calcareous fen on the toe slope on the east side of the Flandreau Creek valley. On the margins of marl-encrusted groundwater pools on the flanks of a peat mound.
Associated Species: With Schoenoplectus pungens, Lobelia kalmii, Parnassia glauca, and Gentianopsis procera.
