Habitat: In a wet sedge meadow in a gap surrounded by cattail marsh. On a shallow toe slope with groundwater seepage. In vegetation dominated by Carex pellita, Carex stricta, and Helianthus grosseserratus.
Associated Species: With Eupatorium perfoliatum, Epilobium leptophyllum, and Mentha arvensis.
