Habitat: On the upper part of a shallow west-facing slope of a glacial Lk Agassiz beach ridge. In moss on exposed, marl-encrusted peat on the margins of open groundwater pools in a calcareous fen.
Associated Species: With Betula pumila, Lobelia kalmii, and Trichophorum cespitosum.
