Habitat: On a shallow slope west of a beach ridge. In wet brush prairie dominated by Betula pumila, Deschampsia cespitosa, Andropogon gerardii, and Muhlenbergia richardsonis.
Associated Species: With Pycnanthemum virginianum, Symphyotrichum puniceum, and Zizia aurea.
