Habitat: On the nearly level top of a small hillside adjacent to the Klossner Cemetery. In a mesic prairie dominated by Sorghastrum nutans, Hesperostipa spartea and Andropogon gerardii.
Associated Species: With Coreopsis palmata, Helianthus pauciflorus, Phlox pilosa, and Symphyotrichum laeve.
