Elevation: 300 meters (984ft)
Habitat: Growing near the southern shore of Black Pool Bay. Protected, near a channel that connects the bay to the western basin of Clearwater Lake (ID 86025200), a large 3,000 acre lake situated in the Big Woods Ecological Subsection. Found submerged and emergent in 1.2 meters of water. Submerged part of plant with dense, bushy appearance; emergent part with shorter, stiff leaves.
Substrate: Firm bottom with layer of silt, marl on top.
Associated Species: Associated with Nuphar variegata, Zizania palustris, Vallisneria americana, Utricularia vulgaris, Heteranthera dubia, Lemna trisulca, Elodea canadensis, Potamogeton praelongus, P. amplifolius, P. crispus.
Description: Emergent part of plant fertile.
