Habitat: Growing near the southern shoreline of Cedar Island Lake (ID 73013300), a 1,000 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Hardwood Hills Ecological Subsection. Part of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes, locally referred to as the Horseshoe Chain. Individuals submerged in 0.8 meters of water.
Substrate: Gravel substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Heteranthera dubia, Ceratophyllum demersum, Potamogeton crispus, Vallisneria americana, Myriophyllum sibiricum, Chara cf. contraria.
