Habitat: Growing in the narrow flowage connecting Lake Insula (ID 38039700) and Hope Lake (ID 38031900): situated in the Border Lakes Ecological Subsection. Slight flow. Individuals locally abundant. Growing fully submerged in 20 centimeters of water depth.
Substrate: Soft, muck substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Nymphaea odorata, Nuphar variegata, Schoenoplectus subterminalis.
