Habitat: Growing near the southwest shoreline of Villard Lake (ID 61006700), a shallow 545 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Locally common in 0.3 meters of water.
Substrate: Gravel substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Alisma gramineum, Najas flexilis, Potamogeton richardsonii, Vallisneria americana, Heteranthera dubia, Utricularia vulgaris.
