Locality: United States, Minnesota, Pine, Banning State Park. East side of Kettle River approximately 3.5 km northeast of Sandstone and 2.5 km south southeast of the MN Hwy 23 and Interstate 35 junction.

Habitat: Plants growing along exposed, vertical, sandstone face. Near continuous along cracks in lower one-third of bedrock. Partial shade of red pine woodland. Vegetation sparse. Associated with Gymnocarpium dryopteris.
