United States, Michigan, Houghton, Grand Traverse Bay's ridge and swale complex. Approximately 7.0 miles ESE of Lake Linden, MI. Travel east of Rice Lake approx. .60 miles and walk north of gravel road into swale/tamarack swamp.

Tamarack swamp adjacent to a Sphagnum/ericaceous swale with Aronia prunifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Alnus rugosa, Aster nemoralis and A umbellatus.
