Locality: United States, Minnesota, Cook, Superior National Forest. Approximately 4.23 km west of Lutsen and 11.01 km northeast of Tofte.

Habitat: Within an upland cedar community at the base of the southeastern slope of Moose Mountain.
Substrate: Growing between ridges, at the top of deep V-shaped channel, in Thuja occidentalis bark.
