Growing near the southern shore of Hollerberg Lake (ID 76005700), a 220 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Water clarity good. Near public water access. Individuals locally abundant in 0.5 meters of water.

Sand substrate.
Associated Species:
Associates include Ceratophyllum demersum, Najas flexilis, Typha sp.
