Growing near the northern shoreline of Ann Lake (ID 61012200), a shallow, 375 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Poor water clarity. Algae suspended throughout water column. Hundreds of Potamogeton crispus turions floating and washed up along the shoreline. Individuals locally scattered along a sand-silt point in 30 centimeters of water; many browsed above the waterline.
