Habitat:
Growing near the western shoreline of Leven Lake (ID 6100600), a 300 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Moderate to poor water clarity. Algae present on surface of the water in multiple areas. Individuals abundant, forming distinct, continuous stands along the basin's western shoreline in ~ 1 meter of water. Occurring deeper than the Typha sp. stands fringing the shoreline behind it.

Associated Species:
Associated with Myriophyllum sibiricum, Ceratophyllum demersum, Utricularia vulgaris.
