Habitat:
Growing near the eastern shoreline of Hattie Lake (ID 75020000), a 450 acre shallow, hypereutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Water clarity poor. Individuals locally sparse, forming a patch along a small peninsula. Emergent in 0.5 meters of water. Did not observe submerged aquatic vegetation at site.

Gravel substrate.
