Habitat: Growing in the northern part of Johanna Lake (ID 61000600), a 1,400 acre shallow, eutrophic lake situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Water clarity good. Adjacent to an island point. Individuals locally abundant in 1.2 meters of water.
Substrate: Gravel substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Ceratophyllum demersum, Potamogeton zosteriformis, Vallisneria americana, Utricularia vulgaris, Elodea canadensis, Chara globularis, Chara cf. contraria.
