Habitat: Growing near the northern shoreline of Amelia Lake (ID 61006400), a 930 acre mesotrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Water clarity high. Basin has natural sand-gravel points. Moderate to high shoreline development. Individuals locally abundant in 0.5 meters of water.
Substrate: Gravel substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Ceratophyllum demersum, Heteranthera dubia, Nuphar variegata, Lemna trisulca, Utricularia vulgaris, Potamogeton illinoensis, P. zosteriformis, Najas flexilis.
