Habitat: Growing in the southwest arm of Long Lake (ID 34006600), a 325 acre lake situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Moderate water clarity. Individuals forming a small stand in 1 meter of water.
Substrate: Silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Chara sp. that forms an abundant carpet over the lake bottom within the stand with scattered Stuckenia pectinata.
Description: Approaching Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani: floral scale awns long, but many solitary spikelets.
