Growing on the west side of Beebe Lake (ID 86002300), a 300 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Big Woods Ecological Subsection. Individuals forming a locally abundant ~50 meter x 5 meter stand on a small island in 60 centimeters of water.

Sand substrate.
Associated Species:
Associated with Ceratophyllum demersum.
