Habitat: Found growing in the northernmost basin of Moose Lake (ID 86027100), an 85 acre mesotrophic lake situated in the Big Woods Ecological Subsection. Good water clarity. Majority of shoreline undeveloped. Individuals locally scattered in 1.4 meters of water.
Substrate: Soft, muck substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Brasenia schreberi, Nymphaea odorata, Nuphar variegata, Potamogeton natans, P. praelongus, P. friesii, Utricularia vulgaris.
