Habitat: Growing near the eastern shoreline of Youngstrom Lake (ID 47013800), a 150 acre shallow, eutrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. Individuals local, forming a small stand in 30 centimeters of water.
Substrate: Silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Ceratophyllum demersum, Elodea canadensis, Myriophyllum sibiricum.
