Habitat: Growing near the eastern shore of Linka Lake, a 175 acre mesotrophic basin situated in the Minnesota River Prairie Ecological Subsection. High winds limited search area to a 25 meter shoreline stretch near the public water access. Nearshore littoral zone gradually sloping. Good water clarity. Individuals forming a locally abundant stand in up to 60 centimeters of water.
Substrate: Sand substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Heteranthera dubia, Potamogeton richardsonii, Sagittaria latifolia.
