Habitat: Found in the northern half of West Rush Lake (ID 13006902), a 1600 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Mille Lacs Uplands Ecological Subsection. Individuals locally common, forming a stand near the southern shoreline of an island. Emergent in 0.8 meters of water depth.
Substrate: Sand substrate with cobbles.
Associated Species: Associates include Schoenoplectus acutus, Heteranthera dubia, Potamogeton richardsonii, P. crispus, Myriophyllum sibiricum, Lemna trisulca.
