Habitat: Growing in Erie Lake (ID 47006400), a 200 acre eutrophic basin situated in the Big Woods Ecological Subsection. Good water clarity. Individuals forming a stand on the eastern shoreline of the basin's large island. Emergent in 45 centimeters of water depth.
Substrate: Sand-silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Ceratophyllum demersum, Heteranthera dubia, Myriophyllum spicatum, Stuckenia pectinata, Typha sp.
