Habitat: Growing in the northeast basin of Spider Lake (ID 13001900), a 130 acre shallow, eutrophic lake situated in the Mille Lacs Uplands Ecological Subsection. Lake with an irregular shoreline and many bays. Water clarity good. Individuals locally common, forming a stand in 1.1 meters of water depth.
Substrate: Sand substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Brasenia schreberi, Nuphar variegata, Nymphaea odorata, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Potamogeton crispus, P. zosteriformis.
