Habitat: Found in Clearwater Lake (ID 86025200), a large 3,000 acre lake situated in the Big Woods Ecological Subsection. Growing near the southern shoreline of Black Pool Bay; near the channel that connects the bay to Clearwater's main western basin. Sheltered area. Individuals growing submerged in 1.2 meters of water depth.
Substrate: Firm bottom with layer of silt, marl on top.
Associated Species: Associated with Nuphar variegata, Hippuris vulgaris, Zizania palustris, Vallisneria americana, Utricularia vulgaris, Heteranthera dubia, Lemna trisulca, Elodea canadensis, Potamogeton praelongus, P. amplifolius, P. crispus.
Description: Forming club-shaped turions.
