in grassy opening fringed by planted conifers ... along old trail ... Full sun to partial shade of Picea glauca & Salix petiolaris. Rare here, small patch in well-drained, rocky soil. Associates include Botrychium multifidum, B. cf. rugulosum, Fragaria virginiana, Phleum pratense, Trifolium hybridum, Achillea millefolium, Aster umbellatus, Solidago juncea, Cirsium arvense.
