Description: Late tufted, brownish-green stem 2-4 lines high; leaves broadly oblong or subpathulate, flat to the apex, coarsely serrated, strongly ribbed, smooth, minutely areolate; The gymnostoma capsule is oblong-cylindrical, protruding on a very slight pedicel, with a broad double ring, with a long columella emerging.
