Habitat:
On mesic, north-facing slope with calcareous mica-schist outcrops and siliceous outcrops at higher elevations. Snowfields with Salix myrsinites, S. glauca, & S. lanata Calcareous surfaces with Catoscopium, Cyrtomnium hymeno-phyllum, & Meesia uliginosa; Upper slopes with Andreaea hartmanii, Polytrichum sexangulare, Juncus spp.
