Notes:
The plants appear to have grown under the snow, which apparently had not been melted more than a month. The setae were thus twisted when found. The robust, sterile plant grew beside a log, protected from sliding snow. Ravines very steep and abrupt, and quite dry now, july 27. The humus was smooth and hard-solid, made so by snow.
