Habitat: in mid-alpine tundra with mats of Polytrichum jensenii, P. sexangulare, Anthelia spp. , & Marsupella spp. Calcareous outcrop with Enclaypta alpina, Amphidium spp. , and Plagiobryum demissum. Grimmia atrata and Mielichhoferia elongata present near small waterfall.
Substrate: On siliceous, granitic mica-schist talus and outcrops
