Habitat: In ombrotrophic bog. Eastern portion of mire dominated by dense cover of Pices mariana, western portion recently burned with Pinus banksiana seedlings abundant.
Associated Species: Carex trisperma, Carex pauciflora, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Ledum groenlandicum, Eriophorum spissum, Kalmia polifolia, Sphagnum fallax, Sphagnum angustifolium, Sphagnum fuscum
