Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Rolling terrain 4.5 miles south-southeast of Lanesboro, near the intersection of County Roads 12 & 21.

Habitat: Frequent in a series of seepage meadows perched on gentle slopes along a broad ravine, in a moderately grazed pasture. ~10 acres of seepage meadow maintained by diffuse and often subtle groundwater emergence. Fairly firm (to locally somewhat buoyant) mucky-silt. Full sun. Loose groups of fertile culms. Most abundant on the drier and more degraded margins of the wetlands, and on the adjacent upland.
Associated Species: Associates include Glyceria striata, Carex pellita, C. stipata, C. laevivaginata, C. vulpinoidea, C. granularis, C. hysteracina, Scirpus atrovirens, Eleocharis erythropoda, Equisetum arvense.
