Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, St. Cloud, Whitney Park, Sauk River Regional Park. Along the lower reaches of the Sauk River on the north side of St. Cloud, along the south bank of the river, ~150 yards upstream from the CCC-era "Boy Scouts" footbridge connecting Whitney Park to Sauk River Regional Park.

Habitat: Local. Occasional along the water's edge on a narrow floodplain terrace just above the current river level (high due to recent heavy rains), in a zone inundated by spring flooding. Mostly in full sun. Moist silty soil. Yellow petals.
Associated Species: Associates include Phalaris arundinacea, Carex atherodes, Mimulus ringens, Rudbeckia laciniata, Erigeron philadelphicus, Cirsium arvense, C. vulgare, Parthenocissus inserta, Menispermum canadense, Toxicodendron rydbergii.
