Locality: United States, Minnesota, Benton, Michaelson Farm State Wildlife Management Area - Bend in the River Regional Park. On a locally rather broad floodplain along the east (northeast) side of the Mississippi River one mile south of Rice.

Verbatim Elevation: 1015 feet
Habitat: Common in a small alluvial marsh dominated by Bolboschoenus fluviatilis. Full sun to partial shade of Acer saccharinum that dominates the canopy of the surrounding floodplain forest. Deep, very wet, highly-decomposed peaty muck.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Sparganium eurycarpum, Scutellaria galericulata, Persicaria punctata, Bidens cernua, B. tripartita, Pilea fontana, Lemna minor, Typha angustifolia, Leersia oryzoides.
