Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Rugged terrain along Rush Creek, 0.5 mile south of the Interstate 90 Enterprise Rest Area, 4 miles south of Lewiston.

Verbatim Elevation: 1030 feet
Habitat: Local on the crest of a narrow ridge spur, ~90 feet above the valley floor where a major tributary enters from the north. Gentle slope settings; aspect varies from northwest to south. Silty clay. Moderately grazed (by cattle) deciduous woodland (overgrown savanna). Patchy canopy is dominated by Quercus alba, with Ostrya virginiana in understory. Herbaceous layer is dominated by Carex pensylvanica. Scattered robust clumps.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Galium concinnum, Arenaria lateriflora, Anemonella thalictroides, Geranium maculatum, Rubus allegheniensis, Ribes missouriense.
