Quite local at the base of a 150-foot, north-facing bluf. In cool (weakly-algific), moist microsites along the base and lower ledges of a mesic dolomite cliff that rises 40-50 feet. Partial shade, due mostly to aspect of the rock face, and trees atop the cliff. Loose patches. Dozens of plants here, often in moss mats amongst dense colonies of Cystopteris bulbifera.
