United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Babe Island in Lake of the Woods, near the Canadian border 31 miles northeast of Warroad. On the northeastern shore of this 8-acre bedrock island.

Habitat:
Local, occasional in pockets of moist, detrital-organic soil along crevices of gently sloping, wave-washed gabbro, within ~12 inches above the lake level. Mostly in full sun.

Associates include Eleocharis erythropoda, E. acicularis, Carex crawfordii, Alopecurus aequalis, Cyperus squarrosus, Agrostis scabra, Hypericum majus, Euthamia graminifolia, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Verbena hastata, Persicaria lapathifolia.
