Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Along the shore of Lake of the Woods at Rooty Point, 25 miles northeast of Warroad.

Verbatim Elevation: 1060 feet
Habitat: Frequent to locally abundant in a small slough on the back side of the beach, and in a shallow lagoon sheltered behind the point. The substrate varies from deep sand, to shallow sand over peat, to muck. Forming loose to rather dense patches. Plants are entirely submerged, except in denser patches where the upper portions of the stems form floating mats. Water depth in the slough varies from 18-36+ inches, in the lagoon less than 12 inches. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates in the slough (no associates present in the lagoon) include Potamogeton robbinsii, P. foliosus, Myriophyllum sibiricum, Elodea canadensis, Nymphaea tuberosa.
