Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Along the shore of Lake of the Woods 18 miles north-northeast of Warroad. In the southern portion of Sand Point Bay, just north of Stony Point.

Verbatim Elevation: 1060 feet
Habitat: Locally common on a small (3-acre) sandbar island. Dry sand and pea gravel, on the level to gently sloping crest of the island, ~2 feet above lake level. Full sun. Dense clumps with many stems.
Associated Species: Associates include Agrostis scabra, Polygonum ramosissimum, Conyza canadensis, Potentilla norvegica, Oenothera oakesiana, Salix interior.
