Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Along the lower reaches of Stony Creek 23 miles north-northeast of Warroad.

Elevation: 323 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 1060 feet
Habitat: Local in a narrow zone of alluvial marsh, one of several heterogeneous meadow and marsh zones bordering the slack water creek. Occasional here, forming small clumps (<10 fertile culms each) and loose patches. Substrate is firm, shallow peat over muck and clayey muck. Water depth is presently ~4 inches. Full sun most of the day. Vegetative shoots are bluish-green in color.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex lacustris, C. utriculata, Eleocharis palustris, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Equisetum fluviatile, Sagittaria latifolia, Acorus americanus, Galium tinctorium, Sparganium emersum.
