Habitat: Occasional to locally common in the shallow creek. Occurring both in slack water and gentle current. Firm, mucky to mucky-clay substrate, sometimes with sand and gravel quite locally. Mostly in full sun. Leaves submerged to floating (to infrequently somewhat emergent).
Associated Species: Associates include Callitriche palustris, Potamogeton richardsonii.
