Habitat: Common quite locally on a boggy floating mat, along the edge of the slack water channel as it flows through a large alluvial marsh. Quite buoyant and very unstable wet muck. In full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis acicularis, Carex lacustris, C. lasiocarpa, Sagittaria latifolia, Mimulus ringens, Bidens cernua, Thelypteris palustris, Potentilla palustris.
