Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Little Massacre Island in Lake of the Woods, near the Canadian border 30 miles northeast of Warroad.

Habitat: Quite local, forming small but dense patches amongst boulders in highly organic detritus (enriched by a large nesting colony of cormorants and gulls), fairly shallow over the level to sloping granitic bedrock. The vegetation is simplified, weedy, and much reduced over nearly all of this 2.5-acre bedrock island. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Solanum ptychanthum, Chenopodium album, Portulaca oleracea, Artemisia biennis, Oenothera oakesiana, Cirsium arvense.
